When is the best time to book my Newborn Session?

To answer your question, right NOW is the best time to schedule your newborn session. I am not joking when I say schedule your session now and this is because I can only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month. I would love to get you on the books before I am unable too. Booking your session now will pencil you into the books for the month you are due, once baby arrives please notify me within 24 hours to schedule your actual session date and time.

When is the best time for my Newborn Session?

The best time for your newborn session is between 5 and 14 days young. However, I would prefer to shoot before your new bundle of joy reaches 14 days. My favorite time for newborn sessions is between 7 and 10 days new.

How long do Newborn Sessions last and where do they take place?

Due to the nature of Newborns, sessions last between 2-3 hours long. This will allow enough time to allow your newborn to fall into a deep sleep. As far as location I offer both in studio sessions (Plymouth) or Lifestyle sessions at your home.

What do we need to bring?

Lots of diapers and wipes are a must! If you decide to formula feed please bring extra formula and bottles as baby will need to eat a few times during their session. If you decide to nurse, please know that you will need to nurse a few times. It is also important to dress in layers as I do keep the room warm for your new bundle of joy. Laslty, if you use a pacifier please do not forget to bring this. It will help keep baby calm if and when we need it.

Props, do we need to bring any?

I have a ton of props and my stash keeps growing. Therefore, it is not necessary for you to bring any props. However, I do love to incorporate handmade things into your session. I also like to incorporate things that mom/dad/siblings love into the session. If there is anything you would like to incorporate into your session, please please please bring the items!

We want parent shots with our newborn, what do we wear?

Parent shots are beautiful! I highly suggest wearing solid, neutral colors for this part of the session. We do not want baby to get lost in any patterns, which is why solid, neutral colors are perfect for family shots.

Is it possible to do sibling shots?

ABSOLUTELY! Sibling shots are also beautiful and what is the point of a newborn session without sibling shots (if there are older siblings). We will also include family shots with all of you.
